Minor Surgery Procedure – how to prepare

Minor Surgery Procedure - How to prepare?

  • Have you printed and read your Pre-Surgical Advice Sheet? If you can’t find your pre-surgical advice sheet you can download it here: https://minorsurgery.co.uk/pre-surgical-advice-sheet/
  • Are you aware you should have a shower and wash the area we are treating with soap prior to the procedure? This reduces infections significantly.
  • Where applicable, have you marked the lesions we need to remove? This is particularly helpful when multiple lesions (i.e. Lipomas or warts) are removed.
  • Where applicable and cosmetically possible, please shave the area (not scalp or eyebrows of course)
  • Is your driver organised? Try not to drive yourself after a surgical procedure as your insurance may potentially be invalidated unless advised otherwise.
  • Location alert: We now exclusively work from The Bourne End Clinic, 12 Furlong Road, Bourne End, Bucks, SL8 5DG. For directions click here. For parking information click here.
  • Don’t leave driving late. Arrive with plenty of time to spare. Our tip is to plan that traffic will be bad around this area and be nicely surprised if it isn’t. Leaving home late and arriving late for the appointment may mean significant cancellation charges as outlined here https://minorsurgery.co.uk/cancellation-policy/.  Our appointments are scheduled like flights. One after the other, once they are gone they are gone, just like a plane. If we are sitting around waiting for you the whole team is sitting around doing nothing.
