What our patients say about “value for money”
“I was very grateful to have had the opportunity to have a cyst removed which the NHS would not consider, & other places I tried at private clinics were incredibly expensive […]”
“I was very impressed with everything. The cost of the surgery here was the same cost as an appointment at another skin clinic that I had previously visited.A very big thank you.”
“Excellent service throughout and the surgical procedure was performed comfortably and skillfully by Dr Kittel with the added benefit of real value for money.I would have no hesitation in recommending TVSS”
“Was quoted without them seeing me £1,200 for the lipoma removal at my local Bupa hospital and was told by my doctor 5 years ago when I was first examined that to have it removed would be about £2,000. As time went on the lipoma got bigger and I was self conscious about wearing a lot of cloths because if they were tight fitting you could see it. If you are holding off because the NHS wont fund – book a consultation with Dr Kittel you may be surprised… this meant I was able to have the surgery I wanted and not take out a loan! Thank you to all of your team from the bottom of my heart!”
“I believe with the NHS not offering this type of service and some private sectors charging extortionate rates this is an extremely valuable service as it can make a difference to peoples lives if they require marks to be removed and this cost is the difference of being able to avoid it.”

In the questionnaires above you will see we provide an awful lot for a relatively low price, but there are certain things we cannot provide and you have to be aware of them as we try to be completely upfront about our service. If you are looking for a service that provides these services you may want to look at your local BUPA or other private hospital where you are likely to get a premium service at a premium price:
What we dont provide:
- A 24 hour advice and reception line: At times you have to leave us a message and we usually answer quite promptly
- A receptionist to your attention at all times: Sometimes you have to wait a little and just sit down. Sometimes you may even have to wait in the car and we open you the door.
- An abundance of timing options: We usually operate Fridays between 3pm and 8pm
- A detailed invoice for your insurance – you get your credit card receipt for online payments through paypal. Invoices are charged extra.
- Spare plasters, dressings and painkillers, : Please buy them before the procedure. We do expect a certain amount of self sufficiency and minimum resourcefulness from our patients.
- Immediate access: We are very busy. Expect you may have to wait around 4-8 weeks for your procedure.
- Plush New Premises – St Marks Hospital is an older hospital from last century and while facilities are clean, they are not stunning
- Plush cartridge coffee makers: We offer normal tea, coffee and even a bisquit, though (unless you are a very short procedure i.e. 10-15 minutes).
What we will always do
- Ensure excellent care and patient safety
- Be honest in the consultation about what we can and cannot offer.
- Desinfect appropriately and use clean instruments, almost always single use
- Treat you friendly and with respect.
- Put you at ease, we are expert at this (as much as we can)
- Explain what we do and why.
- Give you aftercare advice verbally and in writing.
- Be clear about our charges (how many websites are as upfront as we are?)
- We also will tell you if we feel you or we should not remove a lesion and why.
- Provide patient feedback, good and bad (which other services publishes this feedback online?)
